Kids from Monroe County homes will have a blast at the Inventor Center. Check out the exhibit’s materials and test out inventions. The center offers a different challenge every four or five months. Work on wind energy or vehicles that can traverse rugged mountains. Save time to see the Flight to Freedom and see the Rochester stop on the Underground Railroad. Kids can follow Imani, as she journeys north with her family to freedom.
These are just a few of the fascinating exhibits at the Rochester Museum and Science Center. There’s also the Strasenburgh Planetarium and Cumming Nature Center to explore. Visit Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission for adults is $13; for students with ID and seniors, it’s $12; kids three to 11 get in for $11.
